  • Dear Kirsty,

It is highly unlikely that you are ugly. The manner in which you describe yourself leads me to believe that you are not perceiving yourself accurately. Please see a qualified psychologist who can help you overcome this situation.

  • I'm sorry to hear that you have struggled with BDD. This is a serious condition that can be treated. I hope you are learning to conquer this condition and can be satisfied with your overall self.

  • PLEASE tell me the name of the opening song at the very beginning :O

  • lets say you are perceived by many to be unattractive,if anxiety and shame about that made you dysfunctional then youd have bdd.Contrarily most people with actual facial disfigurement through birth or accidents dont have bdd even though one might expect them to.Anyway youre in for a bumpy ride.

  • look on bdd central ,theres hundreds of people from every country on it plus a psychologist that specialises in it to answer questions.

  • "appreance"

    appearance

  • The problem is that if you suffer from BDD ist that you can only see little fragments of you face/body.

It is a AWFUL problem not to be able to find out how you really look then. That's why Michael Jackson, whose self-perception was destroyed deeply by his father/parents, made himself look really weird in the end. I am sure he could not see his overall appreance.

  • I think I have this. :-/ I don't understand though. Because, what if I truly am ugly - and it's not in my head. Then that just makes me an extremely unattractive person. I can't get help for it though..
