The opening theme for the first season of "The Lucy Show". This includes the same types of stick figures used for the original openings for "I Love Lucy" (but with Vivian Vance replacing Desi Arnaz).

I believe that "The Lucy Show" with Lucy and Viv as a widow and divorcee sharing a house with their kids in Connecticut displays some of the greatest and funniest things that these two wonderful comidiennes ever did!

I didn't care for the show after Vivian Vance left and the kids left and Lucy moved to California, it wasn't the same anymore.

It's a different show that ran during the 60s. I love Lucy was in the 50s.

CBS at the time had a policy of not airing sitcoms in color. However, Lucille Ball realized that the show would earn more money in syndication if it were in color, even if the episodes would originally be broadcast in black and white. Episodes were filmed in color beginning with season 2, though CBS began broadcasting the series in color only starting with season 4.

, "The Lucille Ball Show" was a working title before it went on the air. But from the moment of it's initial broadcast on October 1, 1962, it was always called "The Lucy Show." One other piece of trivia: "The Lucy Show" premiered at 8:30 PM the night of October 1, 1962 to much fanfare. Three hours later that same night, over on NBC, Johnny Carson made his debut as the host of "The Tonight Show."
