This is Mozart's Kegelstatt trio as performed by Susan, Leah, and me of the UCI chamber class. This is only the first movement and is still very much a work in progress so be kind!

  • Hey, I'm playing this right now. I like how the microphone is aimed right at you, Edwin... it's hard to hear the viola sometimes.

  • Be careful that you really unify the timing on the written-out turn. Each of you seems to have a different take on it, esp. when you have it together. Tempo is a little pokey for my taste. Careful piano that you don't hammer weak beats and that everything is very grazioso. Make sure also to feel the energy of the line through the rests, when you have sequences the momentum of the line gets lost. A few missed notes here and there, esp. piano-wise. Keep working! :)

  • i'm going to say that i like it, i don't have the score here so i just enjoy it. Thanx

  • Not bad. Try to keep the 6/8 pulse constant, the piano seems to be dragging a bit in the beginning before the main melody comes in on the clarinet. Watch the attack on the first entrance for the clarinet. You can do more with the G in bar 38-40 in the clarinet. I REALLY like your guys' concept of sound and style, and I really like the dynamic contrast in 68-73 before the recapitulation. GOOD JOB!
