Let's take a closer look at the product families that are the fundamentals of the GEM-Line.

ACIDOMIX formulations are acid blends that reduce the number of harmful bacterial colonies introduced by feed and water.

Research has shown that ACIDOMIX blends deliver bacteriostatic activity and mold control, which is available from competing acid blends.

ACTIVATE provides livestock producers with a blend of highly effective GEMs and a supply of essential nutrients such as a precursor to methionine. ACTIVATE delivers excellent economic returns thanks to synergistic acid blends not available from competitors' products.

ACTIVATE is available in two forms:

•ACTIVATE WD is the liquid form and contains ALIMET
•ACTIVATE DA is the dry form and contains MHA

ACTIVATE acts as an antibacterial agent. It is designed to improve digestion and overall health of the upper gastrointestinal tract.

ACIDOMATRIX works as an antibacterial agent at neutral pH — as found in the lower small intestine — and can reduce the amount or numbers of harmful diseases caused by pathogenic bacteria such as salmonella, E. coli, clostridium, and others which are associated with harmful diseases. It is important to note that ACIDOMATRIX products do not prevent, mitigate or cure diseases.

One of the major differentiators setting ACIDOMATRIX apart from the competition is that ACIDOMATRIX is not a coated product. What do we mean by this?

Many of our competitors will take the active principal of organic acids and simply put a coat of fat around it. They're attempting to protect the active principal from the acid pH in the stomach. But as soon as the coated product is put into an acid pH, the coat breaks down, quickly releasing the active ingredient.

At Novus, we have employed new technology so that instead of simply surrounding the active principal with fat, we actually embed molecules in the fat. This creates a slow release mechanism and helps move the active molecules further down the intestinal tract, allowing activity to occur where it's needed most — in the lower portion of the intestinal tract.
