Unit: Two
Level: Tactical Command I
Secrets in this part: One (Two in total)
Difficulty: Hard

O-ho, do I detect another new level in this Unit I wonder? There aren't any more surprises coming my way is there? What's that? ... Oh right. This is the only other new level in this Unit. Bah! Way to spoil the surprise for me! Oh well, let's plod on anyway regardless of what's just come to light.

Plasma Beam! This is the final exclusive weapon for this expansion and by gum, it's a good'un! Although it shares the same ammo (Cells) as the Hyperblaster and BFG10K (and Power Shield), it's a handy little trinket to have if you feel like burning your way through a Daedalus' Power Shield or for the sadist in you, just use it to torture Guards into giblets. They stand no chance against it!

ETF! The song that plays in this level is easily my favourite of this expansion. The way it starts off slow and then builds to a crescendo in true industrial style is wonderful. It's a shame you don't hear it that often. I think there's only one other level apart from this one that shares this wonderful music. Oh by the way, the song is just called ETF. Ponder on what the acronym stands for if you want but I've always believed it was named after the ETF Rifle in this game but I may be wrong. I couldn't think of what else it might stand for.

---------------------------------------

Secret One: 2:20 - 2:33. As you exit the shuttle train, head down the slope nearby to enter a small area where a Turret will emerge on your left whilst a Gladiator and some Guards will emerge on your right. In this area, look on the ceiling for a small shootable switch. Shoot it to make a piece of wall nearby blast open to reveal a Secret Double Damage.

  • Are you using the Steam version of the game?

  • @SpaceBall96 Yep, I certainly am.

  • So you are in Berserker mode, but in a calm civilized way. Very British. However, although necessary, gibbing the enemy still feels unproper and ungentlemanly.

  • @Votapardo Very true. I do like cleaning up after itself even if the giblets leave more of a mess than to start with. It's those Medics; they make me paranoid.

Your quip about being British gave me an idea of an English gentleman travelling around Stroggos tipping his bowler hat to every passing Strogg before lining their lungs with lead. I could see someone turning that particular mantra of mine into a blockbuster film.

  • @galleyuk Or a 2000AD story, to keep it as British as possible.

  • @Votapardo I know he isn't British but perhaps Judge Dredd could make a guest appearance or cameo wearing a monocle. Just to fit in with being British, whatwhat.
