Great Souls like Rafi Sahab are born only with one mission in their lives and they live until that mission is fulfilled. They all die young too. Adi Sankara, Vivekanand, Ramanujan are all examples. Rafi is the greatest and complete film singer produced by India. He was born to take music to its greatest height and he did that and passed away. Honesty and humility and that lovable shyness and his soft speech (in contrast to the powerful voice while singing) are missing today in Bollywood!

One of the Greatest singers of the world , and look at the humility , no pomp and show , No fake attitude , No Ultra expensive clothes , Just a great human , People ask what has happened to Indian Film music ? I think somewhere down the line all humans in the film world died and we were left with soulless stars.

What a wonderful man! The gentle smile, the softspoken and unfailingly polite replies to an interviewer who comes across as a gross idiot. Rafi-saheb was touched by God. It was no coincidence that he sounded like an angel when he sang. Thank you Nadeem, for this video.
