The film "eVIL WiTHIN" (original working title was "Lucid Acts") was shot in the summer of 2001. During editing several music video teasers were created to promote and highlight the music in the film.
Fort Ancient was a Brooklyn, NY-based band. This track "That Same Force" was selected for use in the movie, however, due to licensing issues was later dropped from the movie. The band signed licensing contracts allowing the music to be used to make money, but due to the head-aches associated with providing proof of licensing each and every time the movie played, the director decided to avoid the potential problem and use scores HIEntertainment owned.
Also, of note, this is the only footage of Ron Whitehead used in any of the film's material. Ron Whitehead; famed poet, musician, writer, performer was originally cast to play 'The Trench Coat Man' man. However, after scheduling conflicts, Ron dropped out of the film unexpectedly and was replaced by Joseph Leggott.
In the Release version of the film, if you pay close attention, you'll see that the role of 'The Trench Coat Man' is actually played by 2 different actors. In all, 3 actors played the role, but only two made it into the release print.
This is one of the original teasers sent to film festivals from 2001.
