While we were railfanning at Bayview bridge the crew on this VIA train put on a little show. If you look closely you can see the second engineer imitating the "horn-honk-gesture" as the engineer gives a few blasts of the horn. These kind of crews are always fun to see.

  • nice vids look like the three eye monster (because normaly an f40ph only as two lights) nice catch and nice video :-)

  • Well I guess most VIA locomotives have 3 lights now, I don't know why they do this. Thanks for the comment.

  • I believe that train crews should have cameras with them, so that when the eventual railfan comes up, the crew takes pictures of him. Sweet, sweet irony.

  • kinda looked like he was jerkin off

  • at 1:14 look in the conductor side of the cab LOL!

  • 0:14 LMAO

  • you should see some british train crews...

  • Some corrections:

He's not a conductor, he's the 2nd locomotive engineer. There are no conductors.

The 3rd light is xenon, standard on all locomotives now. A "deer jacker" of sorts.

The model name of the locomotives may be fp40h but VIA calls them GPA030a, b, c, d, e, f and the newly rebuilt GPA30H.

    The locomotives do have cameras.

So do the phones the locomotive engineers carry.

@mr.mitty- it's called the "caps lock" button, idiot. Use it. Then die.

    CROR does encourage that! ;-)

  • Is that the honk honk sign, or the "wankers" sign? Not a troll post, just saying what it looked like to me, haha

  • @MrMitty85 yes we totally do.... you looking for an invitation?

  • @MrMitty85 go find a life and get a proper hobby, instead of trolling on youtube.

  • I haven't seen a VIA train in years. I remember when we used to see them all the time on the tracks in my area and then they starting cutting back on where they are running. Now the nearest VIA station is three and a half hours away. Still nice to see videos of them though. Thanks.
