  • Hi Bz.

Iv'e literally just bought the rm1x ( PICK IT UP ON sATURDAY ) after having been inspired by your music on here. Any advice, tips etc would be more than appreciated. Thankyou for the inspiration by the way.

  • Good stuff, hope you get on well with the magic green box! All I'd say is don't waste time with the demo tracks too much, just use them to learn the structure of the sequencer etc, then get stuck in to composing your own! The default sounds are getting on a bit now, so you'll need to use the RM1X (or external) FX to build them up - and of course, the manual is - for a change - a nice easy one to follow. Get stuck in! (Also, a midi keyboard is a must for composing your own stuff) Cheers, bz.

  • fantastic job...realy chilling...Great!!!

  • Cheers! Appreciate the love!

  • Lovely track , great use of the RM1X effects

  • You have a lot of great melodies among your tracks.

For anyone considering an RM1X, be prepared to do a lot of button clicking.

The RM1X still has a few tricks I've yet to see a software sequencer do, that being the MIDI Play FX, which gives you the ability to offset notes, or change the speed of a track at the turn of knob.

The RS7000, is even more capable.

Those that are keyboardists, the Motif ES / XS have similar sequencers and far better sound capabilities.

  • ..sorry pressed enter by mistgake. I have the EMU ESI-32 sampler with a stack of sample roms . I've been very motivated by your compositions, and thank you for that !

  • Hey again BZ. Thanks for the input,,,, itching to get started :-) I collect a midi keyboard on Sunday, also hoping to get the Yamaha djx1 keyboard. The plan is to slowly build up some hardware, I have the EMU

  • Are you using an editing program like Unisyn with the rm1x, or just the knobs & such? These sounds rock!

  • My computer got fried, so I lost touch with my virtual world. I finally managed to get a new machine, and I figured I come on youtube and catch up with all my friends. How is life? I had a feeling you might come out with something new. Like always its really nice stuff. Why don't you drop off some more of your projects with our group? Cheers ObeeLektro.
