http://www.nuevotec.com - http://www.myspace.com/newswingsextet - Timeless Music. The legendary New Swing Sextet released their new album, Back on the Streets, A Taste of Spanish Harlem, volume 2, over 35 years after their previous studio release from the Fania Cotique label.
We captured the highlights of the CD release party, including performances from "My Favorite Things" and "El Bongo", and interviews with band members George Rodriguez, Jose (Cheo) Medina, and Angel Justiniano. Salsa dancers, performers, and musicians gave their thoughts with DJ Nelson Torres, Ismael Otero and Shani Talmor (Caribbean Soul), Joel Massicot (Masacote Dancers), Melissa Pabon (Enixe & Art in Motion), Franklin Ayala (Dancesport All-Stars), & Jonathan and Maritza. Nuevotec's Dimas Mero conducted the interviews.
haha those are my uncles~!!! LOL
I grew up, danced and supported the New Swing since the 60s. Today they are recognized for their real Latin style of good music, not that cookie-cutter commercialized garbage being sold to the public today !
