  • Lol I'm black and I cosplay as whoever the fuck I want, but it would be nice if there were more black females to identify with in anime. There doesn't need to be a bunch, obviously because anime is Japanese, but more would be nice.

  • @strtthshw Yeah I agree. I know I don't have to right to really make a huge deal of this. Anime is based on the culture and area they live in... and to be honest they don't see many black folk over there so its understandable why you would see so few in anime. Thanks for the reply

  • @shadowlarkmoon

Anime series aren't based solely on where they live, a lot are fictitious. If anything a lot of the Anime characters look European, and not actually asian... (big eyes, different color (hair and eyes), as well as narrow facial features). Anyway, it's nice to see more variety in Anime series now a days, 'cause the world isn't just caucasians and asians. And I'd really love to see more hispanic anime chars. :)

  • @Rinnage Well I didn't mean it as in all anime takes place in east asian locations or are based only on thier culture. But it does influence it greatly. More recent anime ( i guess withen maybe the past 10-15 years... terrible guess i bet XD) has incorporated a more accurate view of other cultures or how other cultures interact with their culture. I think characters like Sado from bleach and that black russian dude from Durarara are good examples.. Start with what you know and expand on it. =)

  • @shadowlarkmoon im not saying that you should start with what you know I mean as in the creators of anime. o.o...

They use what they have grown up with as a base and then take what truths they learn from actual experience and expand on their artistic view point.

  • Great update. And like you said, black people like anime and video games just as much as anyone else. It'd be nice to see more dark-skinned characters from both mediums.

Thanks for uploading these great videos.

  • Pretty sad collection when I look at them.

I guess were gonna have to create more Sisters. because I'm not holding my breath for anyone else to do it for us..........SIGH!

  • Calessa don't count as woman, "she" a spy man ;)).

  • All about Atora! I love the hell out of Kekkaishi! Great music selection by the way.
