I am African American and I really want to wear lace again but the last time I wore lace (tights), I got the wrong reaction from black guys on the street and the wrong idea of what I was. It really bothers me and makes me feel horrible, since I am just dressing gothic not the other thing :( But I do not want to controlled by of what I wear becuase of stupid guys anymore!

@kunoichiwarrior27 A lot of goth girls get that reaction, I'm white (obviously) and I get approached a lot, especially by old men (not old like 35, old like 60-80s) and it just comes down to where there are going to be people like that who react that way. Just stay safe, if it'll make you feel better get some pepper spray or a knife with you. You aren't a prostitute, people just don't understand. Be yourself and say safe.
