need info the bottom of the coil comes apart to show grey inside is this suppost to come apart as it doesent look like a coil cover i thought they were suppost to go over coil casing also it doesent seem to do a lower sound for iron even though i can null it out thnx regards DD

@DggerDrew Yes that is the coil cover, and yes it is grey inside thats the resin. The goldmaxx can be a bugger sometimes with large iron, but you can usual tell by it not sounding as sweet as a good signal. Try raising the iron volume to around 10-11 oclock position and if your still not sure raise it all the way up, it should give a growl. I dug a lot of iron at 1st, but the more you get used to the tones the less you will dig. Good luck out there.....
