  • @Rlotpir1972 I know, but this is the version of the fanfare that was used in Star Wars (1977).

  • @StarWarsFan786 23 years before the 'original' Star Wars. Alfred Newman was the composer. I think Lionel Newman, music composer for movies and TV (Batman, Green Hornet, MASH), was his son.

  • @IstvanN1961 The big deal is that the bigger the film, the clearer the picture, less grainy, etc. If you were to compare 8mm (home movies) and 55m film, you'd wouldn't be asking what the big deal was. The difference is like that of an entire football field vs. just the end zone, or a 30-room mansion vs. a 3-bedroom tract house.

  • @StarWarsFan786 No it is not. This fanfare was first used for the introduction of CinemaScope.
