This is my FAN-MADE trailer, the first fan-made trailer I've ever made, for the upcoming Star Wars television series currently being written by George Lucas and his team of writers from all around the globe, including Great Britain and Australia, and writers from shows such as LOST, Heroes, the new Battlestar Galactica, Doctor Who/Torchwood and some Australian series too. It will be set between Episode III and IV, so being a member of the 2nd generation of Star Wars fans, hence enjoying all 6 films of the Star Wars saga, I hope that this series really brings the two trilogies together. As a result I thought it would be interesting to edit a trailer from just Star Wars footage from each trilogy, (you'll also notice a few deleted or additional/extended scenes from Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, and that footage from each film has been included and sometimes spiced in one sequence to create the effect that they were shot together) and mixing them up, alongside cut scenes from The Force Unleashed multi-media project, which is actually set in the Dark Times aswell. This being said, the dark times have always been my biggest appeal to the idea of Star Wars itself, so I am hoping that this series will be made well, and also that the old school fans like this series unlike most did with the prequels, and hopefully restore their enthusiasm for new Star Wars projects, and George Lucas.
--Just want to say sorry about falsely naming it a Promo as it is FAN-MADE, and I know it annoys people when other YouTuber's mislead them like that, but I have tried to make it clear elsewhere that it is not an official promo or trailer. The thing is it takes away the fun and point of trying to make it authentic if people proceed in watching it already knowing it's FAKE, the magic just wares off a bit lol. --
--Also, apologies for using Jar Jar Binks to those of you who hate his guts, but his dialogue contributed to the narrative I was trying to tell, and I kinda like him. I was a kid when I first saw him, so hating him would be like hating Bugs Bunny, which would make me a psycho.--
The trailer is quite long, but I had a hard challenge in trying to pull off using old Star Wars footage to actually give the appearance and communicate an idea of a new TV series. However, I hope this excites you for the series, which is 99% defiantly going to happen. I had a lot of fun going through the Star Wars footage, getting bits and pieces that I could use to hopefully express what I would like from the series, such as Bolba Fett and a mixture of conventions from the prequels - e.g. Naboo, coruscant, big battle sequences, cool lightsaber duels and jedi, the senate, pod-racing, etc. - and from the originals - e.g. the empire's reign and their vehicles + ships, cantinas, bounty hunters, the rebels struggle, wonderful space battle (as also scene in ROS), x-wings, speeders, storm troopers, etc.

you know what, if the Youtubers watching wanna see that its fan made in the tile before they click it, I'll do it, from the 11th of July, I declare this video, fan-made. (cant believe how worked up people get about a bit of fun like an amateur trailer tho, sad really)

it ruins the point if you know its fan made before watching it? IT REALLY ruins the point 2 things. 1) to realize that is not official at it was announced as it is was. 2) it ruins the point to see in fact it has nothing 2 do with a live action promo cos´ it has no material refering to the mentioned series. or to the story period involved. this has nothing 2 do with the title you gave it. you want people to see how close you get to a professional trailer? not a bit my dear, no offence

@errevea well you obviously weren't paying attention then... for the fact that there is no film footage of the era between episode 3 and 4, i didn't do a bad job, and that was the challenge I set myself

@Foxythedirector also, it does have the mentioned material that has been referred to in articles concerning the show; pod racing, the return of Storm Troopers on our screens, the 'Dark TImes' of the empire, bounty hunters, characters from The Force Unleashed, the conflict between the Empire and the Rebels, BOBA FETT which has been mention LOADS of times, and I chucked in some footage that implies stuff that I would like to see like a return of C3PO and R2D2.
