Here's to life @ http://www.lifebyphil.com/. Hey. Before you shoot your computer and then yourself please read this first. This is a version of my family slide show using Widows Movie Maker. I took many of these pictures from Facebook and copied them into the "collection" pane. The music tempo, transitions and lyrics should be "trimmed" to match the images as much as possible. It is a lot of work with every image but I think it makes a difference in the end. Generally most of the slides were set at 6 seconds with a 1.25 second transition time.
Warning: I was very frustrated with lack of memory space to handle a complete transfer when saving to a CD ROM. I could not save to a DVD at all. Then only half the movie would be saved to a CD. The only way I could save the complete version was to go back and resize my pictures, which took many more hours to do that.
The other main frustration was that this program kept freezing up my entire computer causing it to crash and losing some of my work. Then it would take up to 10 minutes to get back to the place where I was working.
I do not recommend Windows Movie Maker unless you have a lot of RAM memory. Check reviews on other slide show programs before beginning a project. The last thing you want to go through is days of wasted time because of a poor editing program.
