In the words of Wing Chun master William Chueng, "Bruce Lee was probably pound for pound the toughest in the world, but Benny 'the jet' Urquidez would give him a good fight. This the utmost compliment from a traditional master. One thing is for sure, Benny could take a punch, get back up from being knocked down and win. Being a superior striker, as well as being able to learn new styles, he would have no trouble in MMA.

THE REAL DEAL, A LEGEND.

@zcarenow that's the most common sense, non biased comment of this type ever. nothing like the 'omg bruce lee would die once he got into grappling'
duh - they didn't do it much back then. these guys are pros. they would've done great in MMA

B-B-BENNY AND THE JETS

i think in Benny's "golden times" Tony Yaa or Jet Li would be good opponents and could do some exibitions with him.(aside from Bruce Lee). Van Dame couldn't match him and Chuck Norris would be too rigid with his Karate Style. Maybe Dan Inosanto or a UFC Champ like Frank Shamrock or Tito Ortiz can match him.

You don't know what you are talking about. Benny was in two movies with Jackie Chan and after seeing Benny Jackie Chan said he didn't want to really fight him. He joked about being an actor where as Benny was "the real deal". Bruce lee's friend and fellow martial artist Leroy Garcia once said if anyone could have given Bruce Lee a run for his money it would be Benny Urquidez.
i wished he would've fought in today's MMA during his prime. he would've adapted very easily.
