You gotta give credit to Donnie "The Twangler" Roberts for the GENIUS licks on this. Even Ravi Shankar would be proud!

Yeah, and not to mention Dead Kennedys with their surf like punk, and even Social Distortion mixing vibes of it into some of their songs.
When I was in highschool I was in a band who mostly tried to revive surf in our local scene. It didn't end well :\

@peniosasdasd Surf was pretty big in the early and mid '90s. Dick Dale and Webb Wilder were touring often. Southern Culture on the Skids had (and still has a lot of surf, and there was Man or Astro-man, Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet, and just about every group on the Estrus label.

I HAVE THE ROLLING STONES HOT ROCKS COLLECTION AND THIS SONG WOULD FIT SWEET ON IT !!!!!!!!!! WEBB IS A GENIUS MUSICIAN !!!!!!!!

If Surf had been as immensely popular as it should of been, he would be.
We took a turn towards heavy metal acts and less surf acts.

I completely agree and even tried to suggest having him open for Brad Paisley on his boards, but I didn't get a response. I've been a fan of Webb since the 80's when I was a kid and heard "Human Cannonball" on ECU college radio.

The Electric Prunes! Now that was a great name for a band....

His live version is pretty kick-ass, too.

Webb is a "Burning God of Love"!!
It's amazing that Webb isn't a giant star. I've seen all the big names (including the Stones) that are still touring since I was 13, I'm 22 now. Webb does a better show than any of them.
