i hated this version of lamont i liked the later version when he loved fred no matter what,if he was back in these first episodes it would have made the show so much more enjoyable.

A very funny episode of "Sanford and Son"! Fred turns 65 years of age. Lamont does his best to make Fred's birthday a special occasion, only to see Fred end up disappointed. A great episode!
Fred (calling the Social Security office): "I wouldn't have to wait if I was White!". - Hilarious!

These 70's shows are the only shows I end up catching myself clapping too at the end of every episode haha.. Well that I can think of this and Goodtimes. Brilliant freaking writers I tell ya. It's no wonder Black Film Writers/Actors boosted in the 70's.
