This is a sonnet I wrote for my English class in memory of my recently deceased great uncle who I love dearly. May he rest in peace.

This sonnet is not a 'perfect' sonnet but, like life, it wasn't meant to be perfect. The message I hope you find in this is that yes, death is a sad time where we all cry and our hearts go numb. But, once those tears dry up, we all have to realize that it is an escape to a better place for our loved ones, a place they will surely stop and wait for you.

If you're not aware of the god Hermes, he was not only the messenger of the Greek gods but he also was believed to lead souls to the underworld or the world beyond.

The reason I uploaded this here is because of a technology malfunction with my USB drive but maybe it was for the best.
