@PLScotland A philosopher is NOT the same thing as a mathematician. His failures of simple statistics and probability theory illustrate this point clearly. Being a smart ass is fine. I enjoy debaters employing entertaining rhetorical approaches from tiem to time so long as they aren't ignoring key points brought up by others. Berlinski has dismissed, but not addressed, the points mentioned by various folks pointing out his failures to understand the basic elements of probability theory.

@TavishHill He is a mathematician, maths is pure science where conjecture and hypothesis don't cut it. Evo Biology is the lowliest discipline of the least of the Natural Sciences(biology). His logic is very rarely out, unless he is wilfully being a stubborn ass. Where it matters he usually nails it!

@TheJeo81270 Science is updated as new discoveries are made, not because it is flawed. Humans are biased, that is why science has to be repeatable. If you don't think we have over 98% the same DNA a chimps you can repeat the work yourself.

Most scientists accept God, all of them accept evolution.

@gregrutz I am amazed at how atheist give Christopher Hitchens so much credibility when he does not have the same credentials David Berlinski has. Science is very flawed and always will be, that's why the information is being constantly updated. I love science but I have no illusion about it. Again, it has its limits. As long as you have flawed human beings that are vulnerable to biases, science will always be flawed. And please no immature responds.

There's no assumptions involved in my comment. Berlinski doesn't work with evolutionary biology, nor has he ever worked with evolutionary biology. He is a philosopher and author. Every time anyone shows him the problems in his logic, he cries about it and desperately tries kicking the ball down the field a bit more in the mean time.

Actually, Berlinski is just an idiot who refuses to believe anyone who shows him he is wrong because he is incapable of what us intellgient folks like to call "learning". Berlinski has no expertise whatsoever in any scientific field on the topics he is discussing, yet he thinks he has outsmarted the real scientists. And Einstein was a Deist and in no way whatsoever believed in intelligent design.
