Despite warnings that the region is dangerous, Botanist Glendon (Henry Hull) travels to Tibet in search of the "Marifasa Lupina", a rare flower which blooms only in moonlight. Back in London, Glendon is visited by the enigmatic Dr. Yogami (Warner Oland), who tells him that a current rash of murders is the work of two werewolves. Yogami also claims that the only antidote is the blooming Marifasa flower, which keeps the werewolves from harming the ones they love. Glendon scoffs at Yogami's stories, until he next full moon!

  • I watched this on a horror movie channel back when I was a kid. It scared the b'jeebers out of me then and still does. Being a fan of werewolf movies, I have watched all that have ever come out. This one, by far, is the best ever made. Thanks for posting. Now I am going to sleep with the lights on...!

  • i have it at home.

    so awesome.

  • this is a great film, i would put it in the top 5 werewolf movies of all time. i think henry hulls character was really well done as well as warner oland. have this film on dvd and find myself watching at least once a month.

  • I gotta get this on dvd at some point, looks good. I absolutely love the old classic films of this particular genre. They have inspired numerous film directors, Joe dante, John landis etc...

  • One of the great classic Universal horror films. Love the creepy make-up - works so much better for me than the overwrought CGI crap they're getting away with now. Gotta mention the distinctive music score too - itwas re-cycled for the terrific FLASH GORDON serial with Buster Crabbe.

  • Noooooo he killed Charlie Chan

  • What does the Shadow have to do with this?

  • @HRVDNT And that forehead thing. I think they call it a widow;s peak.

  • @MORKOS621 Yes, it does. With the sideburns and all.
