Jean Klein, master of Advaita Vedanta in the tradition of Ramana Maharshi and Atmananda Krishna Menon and author of many books on non-dualism, spent several years in India going deeply into the subjects of Advaita and Yoga. In 1955 the truth of non-dualism became a living reality. From 1960 he taught in Europe and later in the United states.

to delight in the "now".
to be intuitively and spontaneously creative,
drawing upon the experiences that lies in the abyss of your infinite heart.(subconscious)
and yet, feeding that heart, with the seeds of your choice,
for the internal to external transformation.
for as you sow , so shall you reap,
and as a man thinketh, so Is he.
and he is.
I AM.
for there is only. now.

"Silence underlies all mental functioning just as it does the three states of waking, sleeping and dreaming. These are superimposed on silence. They are in time while silence is timeless. "Silence is your original nature." "The real perfume is in the silence." - excerpts from The Ease of Being by Jean Klein

Honestly, you're better off to read one of his books, such as "The Ease of Being." He writes of the abstract quite effectively. Though I suspect many cannot grasp it as it is not something Western cultures are at all familiar with. Had he not have gone to India I don't think he would have experienced the same enlightenment, certainly not in the same way. His writing has, among other things, helped me to grasp the concept that we are truly the detached observer and not the body we imagine.

cat is out of the bag isnt it? There are no flock of birds, birds, Jean Klein or any such voyage. This is no culmination or anything such are these two sitting. It is all a bore and extremely here and now, oops...it's gone! really! and no formal training...only a childhood w/ no turning points...yes!

Jean Klein is my Teacher... but this interviewer is pretty subpar to be quite honest.... There is no need to place the focus on Jean's bio. A wasted opportunity. I don't feel that she even listened to him.
