Loneliness of the heart can take its toll.
But if you find that special somebody, all the ache can disappear.
And if they don't notice you?
No good then.
And if they don't even like you?
Worse.
Try to forget.
Try to move on.
The pain is worse than before.
Don't pay it any attention.

Then that person looks your way.
Don't get your hopes up.
Then that person sends you a note.
Try not to embarrass yourself.
Then that person asks if you're doing anything on Friday at 7.
Go ahead and celebrate.
