Many Onan CCK owners have had serious Choke problems, here's how to cure it.
Choke stays on a little longer than normal as the spring was wet where I cooled Bi Metallic spring & housing with water to avoid waiting around.
Since modifying I have tried it in 2 Degrees to 15 degrees so far and always starts instantly, in a second or so, no frustration churning or running the battery down as before. The optimum gap between choke body & plate is 1/4" to 5/16" or 6-8mm though doesn't seem critical, after Minus 13-20 Degrees last year in England so I wasn't willing to accept it's previous poor hit or miss starting . You can test this first if u like by holding a 1/4" screwdriver blade down edge of choke flap/body whilst starting it from cold.
It's a 816cc)& heavy 300lb, but a long way ahead of the Korean Chinese made units, has similar fuel consumption to Honda EC3600-EC4000 Generators & will easily manage 3.6Kw..
@boliussa OK, this is 803cc but runs under half speed of a EC3600 GX270 Honda (1500rpm versus 3,200 rpm) so consumptions not as bad as you might expect.
