In this video I share with you two quotes which when understood and applied can lift your consciousness, understand, and awareness to an entirely new and higher level. Do not be fooled by the simplicity of these ideas. They are powerful and can dramatically change your life as they have mine.

1. Who is the master who makes the grass green?

2. What the thinker thinks, the prover proves.

As Dr. Leonard Orr has noted, the human mind behaves as if it were divided into two parts, the Thinker and the Prover.

The Thinker can think about virtually anything. History shows that it can think the earth is suspended on the back of infinite turtles or that the Earth is hollow, or that the Earth is floating in space; comparative religion and philosophy show that Thinker can regard itself as mortal, as immortal, as both mortal and immortal (the reincarnation model) or even as non-existent. It can think itself into living in a Christian universe, a Marxist universe, a scientific-relativistic universe - among many possibilities.

The thinker can think himself sick, and can even think himself well again.

The Prover is a much simpler mechanism. It operates on one law only: Whatever the Thinker thinks; the Prover proves.

If the Thinker thinks that the sun moves around the earth, the Proves will obligingly organize all perceptions to fit that thoughts; if the Thinker changes its mind and decided the earth moves around the sun, the Prover will reorganize the evidence.

If the Thinker thinks "holy water" from Lourdes will cure lumbago, the Prover will skillfully orchestrate all signals from the glands, muscles, organs, etc. until they have organized themselves into good health again.

Of course, it if fairly easy to see that other people's minds operate this way; it is comparatively much harder to become aware that one's own mind is working that way also.

It is believed, for instance, that some men are more "objective" than others. Businessmen are allegedly hard-nosed, pragmatic and "objective" in this sense. A brief examination of the dingbat politics most businessman endorse will quickly correct this impression.

Scientists, however, are still believed to be objective. No study of the lives of the great scientists will confirm this. They were as passionate, and hence as prejudiced, as any assembly of great painters of great musicians.

In the long run, we are hopefully approximating closer and closer to "objective Truth" over the centuries.

In the short run, Orr's law always holds:

"Whatever the Thinker thinks, the Prover will prove."

  • Once again - everything that you are saying is exactly along the lines of what I'm interested in in life. I'm very thankful for your work and more importantly how well you know your true self.

Have you heard of Alan Watts? I've recently been listening to his talks and they definitely have taught me enough to bring me here, no coincidences.

    Peace, Namaste.

  • @freedomfromthemind yes indeed, alan watts was a huge influence on my thinking.

  • @herbgardner00 Sort of an off-beat question, but did you have some sort of really powerful "awakening" moment that kick-started your interest in consciousness, the mind? I find myself interested in how the passion was awakened.... or was it just through reading, studying, contemplation & synchronicity, something you've always found yourself drawn to?

  • @freedomfromthemind it was really just a strong desire to get out of pain and boredom that i was experiencing.

  • Here's one to add - 'The observer is the observed': Krishnamurti.

K's talks, increasingly available here on ye tube, are a miracle.

  • @MKUltra3 brilliant!

  • so if what we believe is what we are going to see because thats what our mind is subconsciously looking for then sincronicity is crap...? like i think it was Jeff Foster who said, you are your journey, so whatever you think you believe is obviously going to make everything you experience make sense and be able to relate to things. your gonna see what you set yourself up to see.. so then what is true?

  • have you heard about THE VENUS PROJECT?

  • @crisisofconsciousnes the book that effected me the most was Be Here Now by Ram Das, also Way of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman

  • @crisisofconsciousnes read it already in 2009, he has some interesting ideas but mostly new takes on old Eastern principles

  • @trank31337 read the power of now by eckhart tolle

  • Wilson was such a great mind.

  • keep on rockin in a free world, bro

  • Underrated

  • I worked really hard to change the way I thought about my entire life. Who I was, who other people were, what life was, all that. I set it up exactly the way I wanted it. That was 3 years ago. I'm 25 now, and while I still have managed to maintain some of that new set-up, I have been unable to support this transformation in the long term. Irrational judgments about myself and others are once again rampant and aggressive. I've lost motivation to change myself and I've given up on myself and life

  • what ur saying about what i can say about someone and get evidence is what i used to do when i was kid and when i said positive things about someone then my behavior would change and ill start seeing him in a different way.that helped me understand people. somehow i stopped doing it, damn, can you do a video about beliefs. i wonder if you know how to dissolve negative beliefs,THANKs your vidoes are very helpful.
