the patriots were so good back then because they were so balanced. very good running game, very good passing game, very good run defense, very good pass defense, very good special teams. they could easily cover up any weakness with another strength. now they're just offense. in 2007 they were strictly a pass offense with an ok defense, now they're a dink and dunk offense with just a decent pass defense. they don't have the ability to survive and force mistakes like they used to

The Pats didn't even cheat... spygate is the most overblown controversy in the history of sports. Teams literally do what they did every game, and btw, how's it spying if the guy recording is out in PLAIN VIEW in FULL PATRIOTS GEAR? 5 teams have been CAUGHT doing this since it happened, and HoF coach Jimmy Johnson even himself said that he knew MOST teams were doing it even during HIS era of coaching in the 80's-90's. It doesn't work when teams switch up and screen their signals.
