I went to the Louvre a few weeks ago and saw these! They were amazing and huge!

I went to the Louvre in Paris and saw "Oath of the Horatii"! It's freaking huge but a masterpiece. The Coronation of Napoleon should also be on this list. I saw that too.

Such beautiful art, by a not so beautiful artist!! I want to dislike David's work, but it's sooooo genius!! He's probably my favorite artist!! Perhaps second to Rembrandt!! I'm not really a big fan of impressionism, I love the more realistic, classical and neo-classical painters best. But Monet's Water Lilies are beautiful!! As well as Van Gogh's Starry Night!! Okay forget everything I said, all art is wonderful!!

beautiful work.i only knew the painting 'the death of marat' which i saw at school during an art history class some thirty years ago.i'm so glad you posted this video so that i could see other examples of his paintings.

some of these models are just regular people who had a certain look. they found them in pubs, workhouses, etc.
