I lived in NYC from the mid-70s until 1980. I don't remember seeing this video before, but I sure remember Ed Koch. He beat out Mario Cuomo in the election (who, incidentally became NY State governor). NYC was definitely a garbage heap at the time with all kinds of crooked rackets going on. Sanitation was owned by questionable characters, panhandlers everywhere, windshield "washers", hookers, etc... Much different than now. This vid brings back the memories.
