The speaker says matter of factly that solar energy can't meet the overall energy demand of modern civilisation. This is an outright lie launched by the nuclear energy lobby to stay in business. The Siemens company is planning a huge project called deserttec that could supply all of Europe with solar electricity and hydrogen fuel.
In just six hours the deserts of the world receive more energy from the sun than the entire world uses in one year! Waves, tides, and wind are everywhere.

even if cold fusion is pursued then the government will just find ways to shut it down. The government wants people to use oil and natural gases so that when it does run out people will just have to pay for other alternative sources and thus put corporate back into making the billions of dollars they make.
