  • This bass is perfect. It sounds sonorous from bottom to top end. I'm a 4 string player through and through but I would buy this immediately if I were a wealthier man. Ed, what's it like to have the best job in the world?

  • @MrXxlarryxx - Some days you're the hammer. Some days you're the nail gun!

  • I know it is not made for that, but can you slap on it with the piezo and the bronze strings?

  • @marcelloney - You can physically slap it, but I don't think it will sound very good.

  • can i make normal roundwound(or flatwounds) strings on this bridge?

  • @RobiRoadkill - I guess so, the bass was designed to be used with these strings though - Thomastik Acousticores. Not sure if it's going to hurt the bass or not - they are very low tension.

  • @mcg413 - Mainly electric bass and amps, pedals, etc. I play upright bass, but Guitar World doesn't have any interest in that, and so far no upright bass related companies have approached me for my services. I'm happy to do it though.

  • Good God, Ed you're an amazing bassists; you make any bass sing. Could you do a review on a Schecter Studio-5 fretless?!

  • @MrBassdog Sounds like the bassist's "Will it Blend?" video series ;)

  • i need to know the track which plays in the background till 1 min and 30 secs , its so damn awesome, if you have composed it, i would like to buy the song man!!! :) :)

  • @MrBassdog No, it can't slap. But you can slap it, tough.

By the way, it will blend.

  • what scale length is it looks kinda long to me?

  • @JF0urnier The downbeat is the 1 and the 2, and the 3, and the 4. It's when your foot goes down with each beat in the measure. For example, let's say you have 4/4, and have 8th notes. That's 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and. Your foot is down on the 1 and up on the and. The and is the upbeat. For each downbeat, there's an upbeat.

If it's a 16th note run, that's 1-e-and-a 2-e-and-a 3-e-and-a 4-e-and-a. The number is the downbeat, and everything else happens on the upbeat.

  • Just out of curiosity, Can it slap ?

  • Sweet ! Nice !

  • I want it, but i could never own a piece of art this fine.

  • @JF0urnier Thanx man!!!!!
