The US is the biggest global socialist in the world; both monetarily and militarily. It's flawed reasoning to make this complaint that says: I don't mind giving money to South Korea or Kuwait, I just don't want to assist Joe, my American neighbor.( WHAT!! Obama is helping our own US citizens? That damn tax payer money used for foreign aid is only to help people that live in another country, NOT for our friends and family living in our own country!) Americans are all perfect and need no help.

No surprise, Jim Wallis was named to Obama's 25 member advisory board for Obama's new OFANP (Office of Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships).

As w/my comment about West above, Wallis is more of a theosocialist than a Marxist, but that's not even the big problem w/Wallis. It's the whole pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel ecumenical movement and Wallis being the #1 evangelical leader in it (though McLaren, Campolo, & Warren are competitive). Obama's words whenever he talks religion are straight out of Wallis' writings -- straight out of them. Wallis, married to Anglican priest, is popular for beliefnet & Sojourners--oh, he's from Chicago.

Thanks for sending this to me. I knew that Wallis' "religion" was social/liberal gospel (and therefore not a supporter of Israel), but I was not aware that he was a supporter of Marxism and so close to Obama.

Excellent, except that technically Cornell West is not a black Marxist, but because he believes in God, he's more of a theosocialist, as is Obama. I would consider Jim Wallis one of the top enemies of Israel, for sure.
