This is my boy, Skava...He just became "of age" back in august and is now sexually mature. The first 3 to 4 months of the year is breeding season for parrots...and he, being a male, is very very very very sexually active atm and is definately letting my husband and I know it through his displays of agression and constant calls. His testosterone production is going through the roof. This is only a quick video...this barely scratches the surface of his agression level...although alot of the things he does and says is very very funny and gets a good laugh out of my husband and I.

  • Their attitude issues during breeding season are a natural thing that they cannot be trained out of. You just have to let it run its course or be willing to spend the money to stop his testosterone production either temporarily or permanently...which I wouldnt reccomend because 1) its too damn expensive an 2) you dont want to risk harming him

  • @rollsx3579 There are only 3 options: pay every year to have him temporarily chemically neutered which lasts for the duration of the breeding season, then wears off....pay an arm and a leg to get him permanently neutered....or deal with it. Training cannot stop their testosterone production...you need to interfere with medicine or deal with it...I just dealt with it because the medicinal options are too expensive.

  • what do ya do about is sexual agressistion. mine recently started to be like this. and now he bites very hard. and screaming all the time. i know he is frustrated but dont know what to do. i only have one macaw. is there a way to stop this?
