Actually quite good, though I'd recommend that you'd cut the first part of the stinger and just leave it at "I'm afraid that something I cannot allow to happen."
Totally would watch this film though.

I agree. Maybe not so much a remake as maybe a re-imagining. I would love to see a film adaptation of the book (the original movie wasn't based on the book). Some of the ideas and imagery in the book that weren't in the movie would be really cool to see on the big screen.
