i have a ruger sr40 and a hi point 40. my hight point will out shoot the sr40 on any given day. to each there own opion but for 100 what do you expect. and is that a welfare .45? come here let me empty that clip into your ass and then ask if it was a welfare .45 if you dont like hi point get the fuck off the page then. oh yea rugers jam more then hi points do trust me i know im a gunsmith btw

You can give it all the crap you want but they are very simple and reliable guns. Sometimes you buy a gun for... I dunno actually using it? Not everyone wanting to defend themselves is an aficionado. The hi-point pistols are dirt cheap, very easy to learn and use, and reliable. I gave my mom a hi-point 9mm for personal defense and she figured it out within 10 minutes. Not only that but my mom is old, frail, and scared to death of guns. But she handles that hi-point like a pro.

Its funny how people will knock the price. "Second amendment! We should all be able to carry guns!!....but we shouldnt all be able to afford it......."

I have a S&W sigma 9mm, the Glock 19 and 21sf, and a Charter Arms .38. I have the Mossberg Persuader. I hadn't heard about Hi-point until after I got those guns. The S&W was the first one I bought (car was stolen and thief had my keys and address) and I needed more than just changed locks. A hipoint .45 would have stopped him just as well.
