Welcome to my melodic guitar world:

Part 1:
Kicks of with some fast runs in the Style of Joe Tafolla.

1. Here is a little Mixolydian melody with a lot of slides. Here i use the John Petrucci Ibanez No.1

2. A very simple melodic statement played on my Joe Satriani guitar. Here i use the eventide eclipse.

3. Once again a nice melody and the some soloing with the legato technique.
Here i use my white Steve Vai jem and a POD 1.

4. after a little sweeping arpeggio a nice little melody happens.
I was just jamming around and suddendly it was there...
Everytime i pick up the guitar i let the camera running..
you never know what will happen..

5 fender stratocaster abuse!
This is me jamming on a Sunday morning and having fun with my Malmsteen strat.
Yngwie was the reason why i started playing guitar in the 80th.

To end the first part some little blues and melodic phrases over a Gary Moore backing track!

Part 2:
This video was removed from youtube because it was not accepted as a partnervideo.
So here is it again.
If you had already watched it just stop .

Here is a journey though different guitar styles and sounds. It goes from really "easy" pentatonic playing to hyperspeed shred but for me it's all the same. I just love to play!! So grab your guitars, put on a backingtrack and play!! Improvise and play your stuff. "Don't be copycats"

1.Intro just a little melody played on my flowerpower Jem

2. Melodic jam over an Toto or Whitesnake backingtrack. very simple playing. Here i use an Digitech Brian May Pedal combined with Eventide Eclipse

3. Prelude Vinnie Moore style Picking over an Harmonic Minor chord progression check Time Odyssey or Minds Eye I grew up with the phrygian major sound and still love to to use it. This was part of a video i did just for myself: mystery jam There i shredded like crazy and then make a duel with my midi guitar.( I though it was too crazy to upload it...)

4. Melodic Jam over an Bon Jovi Backingtrack. Here i use once again the Brian May Pedal with the eclipse This solo was totally improvised I'm very happy about this solo and the guitar sound.

5. Laid back style.. So simple guitar playing....but it's fun also Here i use a Digitech Jimmy Hendrix Pedal. This i just a demonstration with how less you can achieve a nice sound. i thought this could be a good contrast to the hyperspeed playing..

6. Terror shred guitar Here i jam against a John Petrucci loop. I love the Ibanez John Petrucci guitar.... Lots of fast picking and stringskipping.

7. slow playing with my midi guitar Here i use a VG-88 from Roland. the chords are in the style of Yngwie Malmsteen.

8. Farewell This is just a melody to say goodby. I make a task for myself to write a melody over every chordprogression that i find.. This is big fun. I hope you like this little journey. Once again everything happens on the the spot and is improvised so have mercy... cheers and shred till death Thanks for all the support and comments.

  • Hey man, killer playing......love everything about it. Great tone throughout too!!

  • 1:50,2:15, and 5:00(my fav) .... I was wondering if you had the names of the songs you can give me. I would love to hear the full song. I replayed this video like 12 times :-)

  • Another brilliant guitarist. Lovely melodic style and very heavy and advanced at times too. For me, it's a learning experience and I appreciate the opportunity. Who is the muso ?

  • silly question. is it lefty guitar or u played some of it upside down?
