I went to Italy this past month and caught Ludovico Einaudi in Rome at "Roma Incontra il Mondo 2007" (Rome Encounters the World 2007) in Villa Ada on July 23, 2007. It was a joint concert between Einaudi (Italy) and Mercan Dede (Turkey). The concert was very good, but Ludovico played few solo pieces, this one Oltremare, and Ascolta. I wish he played more solos. This is one I recorded.
This is a very highly improvised version of Oltremare from the album Divenire. It is almost 10 minutes of the full recording which is is close to 11:30.

I've seen Einaudi at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England. It was a lifetime ambition realised, and the most amazing night. I cant put into words how much this mans music touches my soul. Love it....

I just came upon this video...I LOVE LUDOVICO! Just this week....I found out that he will be performing in my HOME TOWN.....Milwaukee. I was so shocked when my daughter told me that she saw it on facebook...that I went ecstatic in my soul! I still can't believe it...It makes me cry...because I never thought I'd have the chance to hear Ludovico play in person. It was my ONE dream!

@Solablueangel thats fantastic. i noticed today too that he will be playing in milwaukee! I'm glad you'll have a chance to see him. I might be also going to one of his performances at another usa location. take care!
