This Train is bound for Glory, Cover of Pop Winans. Band The Gist of Exodus accompanied author, Lesley Gist's book Signing. Lesley is the author of the Underground Railroad book, "The Gist of Freedom is Still Faith". The book gives chronicles Peter Gist-Still's story. Peter was the brother of William Still and the slave of Nathaniel Gist. After 40 years of enslavement, Peter successfully travelled out of slavery using the Underground Railroad. In an effort to locate his family Peter had an interview with an Abolitionist, "known as the Father of the Underground Railroad", William Still- an interview which uncovered that they themselves were brothers and led to Peter to be reunited with his mother.
William Still, documented all slaves who travelled under his care in his book, the Underground Railroad. The New York Times published in his obituary, Mr. Still "The father of the Underground Railroad" died worthy nearly $1,000,000.
