From 1993, a clip featuring the open montage from WHAS-TV's Good Morning Kentuckiana, and anchors Barry Bernson and Rachel Platt, covering snow falling in Kentuckiana.
i was in kindergarten, so all i cared about was not having school and the fact that there was a lot of snow on the ground. the super cold temperatures were not my big concern.
Indeed it was. We got 18 inches of snow and then the -22 temps so everything froze rock solid. It was a super cluster**** and something I hope to never see again.
I think that was in January 1994 that you're remembering. That was a really heavy snowstorm with some seriously heavy snowfall rates and record arctic cold followed it. The snow cover helped keep the temperatures from getting warm as well, acting as the polar ice caps do. That was the year Louisville hit its all time record low of -22°F.
I miss louisville......I wanna move back someday.

Man, this storm was SOMETHING. Louisville was essentially shut down for 3 days.

I remember that WGHP had a similar news set during the last few years of their ABC days.
