Mia X is one of the best female rappers that goes un-noticed because she hasn't put much out there mainstream. You can't knock her for that. Distribution and marketing has a lot to do with that as well (while she was with No Limit, she had lots of marketing.)

She is also knowledgeable about what was happening during Katrina because, like most of us New Orleanians, she was there. She didn't have to see it on the news or read it in the newspaper.
