Well,let's all accept that we can't compare these two bands.You can't compare symphonic metal with psychedelic rock.You just can't!

Personally I believe that both versions are great because both of them have been played according to the music style of the band!The original has a unique sound of classic rock and the other one has a clear metal sound.
What really makes me mad about you guys is that you say that NW are better that PF (although I'm a big fan of NW).Don't you think, you shoud respect a band that has been active for like 30 years and has been recognized as one of the best rock bands ever?

I absolutely loved Nightwish's version of this song. Well, I didn't actually know that this was a cover until I heard the Nightwish version. I think Nightwish sang it much better than Pink Floyd, I find that the thing I like so much about Nightwish is the excitement and drama of the music. I find bands like Pink Floyd tedious and boring.

Nice version of the song but i can not say Nightwish tops PF... I think this is taking it too far.
