Completed in 03:40:28 (!). Hard base time is 04:19:00.

I think this is one of the best runs I've ever done.

Yorito probably has the fastest crouch-tapping speed of all the characters. BTW, Yorito runs stairs crouching as fast as standing up, so these are not mistakes.

This is a very random level with about 5 hotspots that can cost you seconds or ever kill you.

At 0:34 there could be several Yamirei, but you only need one to get stuck. Fortunately this one has been in a diet, so I can slip past.

Checkpoint is used to replenish stamina.

At 02:09 it's most efficient to let the sniper see you before you run off.

Starting from 02:20, one of the worst parts of this level. For optimal time, Mamoru can't waste any bullets either. Check out the advanced flashlighting technique used.

Checkpoint is used to replenish stamina and bring Yorito to where he needs to be.

Tsuneo is another horrible section of the level. Fortunately the fight went really cleanly this time, with him dying of underdose (!) of bullets for some reason.

What I'm also proud of is the fact that the run remained 'No Damage' to top it off.

  • hey!! nice trick at 2:30

  • No damage!

All what I shall say (Thanks for posting this one)

  • I was thinking of doing one for GoW. I know an extremely quick game over can be achieved in the first screen already: by getting at least three of your enemies to instantly do the swirly attack on Kratos. He dies in 1 second.

  • Death run? Nice. Goes against the whole ethos of gaming. I like it.

  • people would expect me to finish the damn thing too!

Hey, you know what's a death run? It's like a speed run except you try to get yourself killed as quickly as possible. I did a couple of 'em lately (for Siren 1 and Silent Hill 3) but unfortunately the genre as a whole isn't very popular...

  • But I'm a pacifist! Maybe I will check it out at some point, but it certainly isn't at the top priorities end of the pool.

In those speedruns the best speed gain seemed to come from simply running past everything you can.

Yup, saw the vid. The part I loved the most was the Kratos's stone body double thingy. The GoWII glitch FAQ is only a dream for now, so don't get too excited. I dunno, a part of me would want to do a small catalogue of the glitches and upload it, but then

  • appear as cutscenes. They are inventive but eventually, tiresome. Have you seen my cyclecancelling stuff with Euryale?

The reversal/negation of petrification works with all gorgons IF you catch it within the initial "flash". Food for thought for your upcoming GoWII glitch guide?

Self promotion? Don't be ashamed. If you don't advertise/promote yourself whenever you can then how can you expect anyone else to "big you up"?.

  • Manhunt speedruns you say? The oxmoronic nature of such a thing really appeals to me.

I played Manhunt a couple of years ago, before I "developed" as a gamer. Perhaps there are tricks to be had in that game that I never considered at the time.

it is a good game that,by and large, involves hiding, sneaking up on people and brutally killing them.

the violence is amusing, initially, but one can tire of seeing a man tear out another mans clavicle, with a crowbar, quite quickly. All the kills

  • The estimation was less scientific than you'd think, not to mention the trick works slightly differently with each character. Some characters' speed slows down instead of quickens!

Another thing to consider for Siren 2's case is that you have an extremely good FAQ to use if need arises... *blatant self-advertisement*

I've seen a couple of Manhunt speedruns and once held the game in my hand in a store. Other than that, no, haven't played or experienced it.

  • Good day MrAKheon.

What can I say, just broadening my horizons a little and looking for an alternate game to get into. This looks about my pace.

LOL at "about 8%" I know from seeing you Gow work that you will have measured and timed that to arive at that "approximation"

Tell me, my good man, did you ever play the game Manhunt?
