  • Great battle report mate, nice and quick paced. Beautifully painted army and well balanced competitive list. What you could try for fun is a 12 man Death-cult Assassin Squad and Cortez instead of the 10 purifiers and the librarian. This would spare lots of points and have more effect in close combat, to make up for the lack of shooting and troops the points could go towards a squad of melta henchmen in a chimera or maybe even another vindicare. Like i said it would just be for fun, hope you like

  • @JK47Paintball Thanks for the kind words! About the super-killy assassin squad, I absolutely want to start fielding that kind of unit but I only have two Death Cults painted up so far (in the old book they were all individual units) so I'll have to build and paint some more before I do. My eventual unit is actually going to be 4-6 Death Cult, 4x Crusader, 2x Arco-Flagellant + Librarian/Cortez for a combination of anti-rear armor, anti-infantry and 3+ invul goodness.

  • @EldarCorsair No problem :) I'd stick with Cortez, Firstly you need an Inquisitor to field henchmen remember, and his Special Rules and armament make him one of the best valued HQ slots in the book, he still has that +2 save and a Daemon Hammer for tanks and such. The only reason I don't field crusaders is that there the same points as a death cult assassin, I'd rather strike first and hard than do somewhat well and have saves to resist survivors. And I see no use in Arcos, But that's just me :)

  • @JK47Paintball 2 Arcos put out 10 high strength attacks, very useful for popping rear armor on vehicles or high-toughness things, especially once you star throwing Hammerhand/Might of Titan around. Without them the unit would have no chance of hurting a Dreadnought either. The Crusaders are there to eat shooting attacks because once you've popped out and killed something in melee your going to get gunned, I feel a few 3+ saves is going to help the longevity of the unit. Thanks for the comments!
