too easy, ravens pass and henrythenavigator were superstars.
-
@TheseWordsAreMyOwN spot on.
-
Just brilliant, Made this american commentator look an absolute muppet when the Europeans just breezed past the drugged up Curlin!
-
@lutonclaret Loved the commentary aswell mate! the commentator is made to look so stupid, with his bias towards Curlin!"" Look at him go", he wasnt saying look at him go about Ravens Pass when he breezed by him. Never get tired of watching Ravens Pass and Henrythenavigator battles, both were such great horses! and i think it was only when we seen them go 1-2 in this race that we realsised just how good this pair had been, battling it out over a mile with each other all season

@danylson10 Listen mate, European racing is and will always be the top of the tree when it comes to standard of racing in the world. It takes more of a true champion to win on turf since there is that many different types of surface on turf, Dirt is just dirt! Just like 'amateur' american racing....
-
@milram17 It wouldn't happen, European racing is and will always be the best standard in the world...
-
@JackNavin092 John Gosden...

Who trained Ravens Pass?
-
@danylson10 It takes a plodder to win on Dirt, we prefer the natural ability and class of the turf horse. Its their natural surface anyway.

Raven's Pass was best this day, buy in all the duels with Henrythenavigator, it was simply the horse that made the first run that won, including this race. In my mind they were equal in talent all year (exclude breeders cup), it was more of the jockey who moved on their mount first.
With respect sikcaesar, it is unfair to speak as if George Washington traveled to America and 'failed'. He tragically broke his ankle and was put down. He was a monster of a horse. When he won the English 2000 Guineas he beat the subsequent Derby winner Sir Percy by 2 1/2 lengths. And again, how many American horses do we see come over and race us on *real* racing ground. The oldest racing ground in the world. Turf. We've been racing horses since before the birth of your young country.

Great, great race! kudos to the first four finishes!! Ravens Pass was just AMAZING!!!!! BEAUTIFUL late kick!!!!! Henry and Tiago ran also ran amazing races! And Curlin ran his best, but every horse loses. Look at Secretariat, Cigar, Man O War, Phar Lap. He just wasn't good enough that particular day.
