In 1815, part of the fighting that took place at the Battle of Waterloo actually occurred on the territory of Braine-l'Alleud, a small town in Wallonia, the French-speaking part of Belgium

Every 5 years, the Battle of Waterloo is reenacted right in the field outside Braine-l'Alleud. This clip was recorded in June 20th 2010, 195 years after the Battle of Waterloo. You can join for the next reenactment in 2015, exact 200 years after the battle.

More info http://www.1815.be/

Image quality is bad, since the clip was made using the HTC HD.

  • Is this on location of the actual battle? Are those farmhouses still there?

  • @rangergxi : Yes, it was reenacted in the actual battlefield where the battle happened in 1815. About the farmhouses, sorry I don't know :D

  • Awesome!

I'm a part of the group in this video. Its hard to tell which is me, but I'm in the front rank, third from the camera.

  • @SteamboatWilley Thanks, I had a nice time too, the battle was amazing. I am about to leave Belgium, probably I won't be able to join the 200 years celebration of the battle.
