Guest Chef/judge was Michael Swartz - Owner of Michael's Genuine Food and Drink in Miami
Quickfire Challenge - The Aisle Trial - Each chef pulled a knife with a # and that # determined what aisle they could shop for their challenge ingredients in.
They had a $10 budget & ten minutes to shop and 20 minutes to cook
Worst - Howie - he threw out his because he thought it was awful
CJ was confused and used the salt instead of sugar to sweeten his risotto
The winner was Brian who took a risk with Spam - he made a Spam & Hash creation with a Balsamic reduction - NICE!
Elimination Challenge - all of the Chefs must work together to cater a ultra upscale party for up and coming designer Esteban Cortazar
There will be 60 guests and the food must last for 2 hours. The budget was $350 - are you kidding me?
As winner of the Quickfire - Brian had to choose a leader (himself)
The party was on a yacht
The judges were not impressed overall
Favorites - Casey - Carpaccio Beef
Sara - Bread Pudding
CJ - Seafood Sausage
Least Favorites - Howie - Mushroom tartlet
Dale - could have used budget more wisely
Hung - better dishes in his repertoire
Brian - he needed to better control them
Winner - Casey - won a 17 inch Macbook Pro
Loser - Howie - are you surprised??
Next week - Anthony Bourdain and the Chefs go on the road
