Also, the vetting process simply leads to more questions about Obama since he's a first generation immigrant. If you come from immigrant families, you know how important to not just take the word of anybody, especially if you are working to become President. Thus, naturally more questions were alleged that needed more evidence. That's all. Yet, he withheld.

He has always said he was born in Hawaii and PROVED IT, No I dont get it yet because no previous president of the United States ever made his birth certificate available to the public. THAT IS A FACT. McCain showing his BC was a worthless exercise because all sides agreed on where he was born.

@LITEBRITE65 I'll repeat it again just for you boss! I repeat again, he's proven to be deceptive and his character is not transparent. Thus, his word is not enough. Given his ambiguous origins, allegations were made to cause confusion and all he needed to do was clear it up by showing the Long Certificate. That's it. Simple. C'mon, ya got it yet? Past presidents clearly vetted in regards to their origins. Even McCain had to show his real birth certificate when he ran last election.

@LITEBRITE65 Obama said, "People who don't want to disclose the truth have something to hide." Also, he said, " I will have the most transparent administration." This is a credibility/veracity/authentic­ity/honesty problem- a character attribute he ran on. Simply show something he apparently had a long time ago. The standard has always been the same and the media was actually probably less ambitious so to just comply on this simple constitutional issue shouldn't have been political but basic.

Every previous president simply put out a bio when they ran for president that said they were born in America and that was always good enough. The correct question is: Why a different standard for Obama?

@LITEBRITE65 The fact is that the man ran on transparency and being very clear yet he chose to withhold something that he clearly manifested in his files which could have cleared this whole controversy up with a simple "let the long form out so I can show that I do indeed run on transparency and good will." However, he didn't, he let something that could have cleared his name 3 yrs ago keep festering. This is clearly political. Enough said because he showed his actions and that tells wonders.

@lamase24 The COLB he released in 2008 has the same birth info and details as the the long form does. It has the year, month, day, hour and place of his birth on it.WHAT MORE WAS NEEDED??? The clause you cite makes NO mention of Birth Certificates
