of course tons of butter and cream make mashed potatoes delicious . but those make any thing more delicious. what is new? the art is to make mashed potatoes delicious without all the cholestrol pumped into them. (1lb butter to 2lbs potatoes!!!) none of the cooks on youtube know how without tons of cream and butter. that is a shame, because potatoes are flavorful. some spicey veggies and herbs can brink out the flavor, and more so, if some air is folded into the mashed potatoes for lightness.

I traveled to Philly this summer to see my beloved Red Sox, and of course I had to go to Parc to try this dish! The chicken with potatoes was absolutely delicious! The potatoes were soft, buttery and creamy....pure potato goodness!!
Well gee, Robert. Don't knock your mother's mashed potatoes. I like them lumpy.
