    Hey man, calm down. I personally was already a fan of ELO long before I got into anime and japanese culture, my father too introduced me to them and more (Beatles, Eagles, Chicago, a lot of good music). Daicon itself is not a bad piece of work and if anything introduced a great band like ELO to a new audience. Today the song stands as a great reminder of a great era of good music and Daicon reflects the beginnings of a famous animation studio that had good taste in music.

    The "Time" album was one of the most unbelievable release in early 80'. Still has fantastic soud!

    I don't see what's so wrong with learning about a song from a Japanese drama. My dad introduced me to Pink Floyd when I was young. You don't see me sitting upright expecting a biscuit.
