This is a table top review of the Umarex Walther CP88 CO2 .177 caliber pellet pistol in the Blued (Matte Black) finished version. I show you around the gun and walk you through its basic operation and handling. I have included some video of a target example showing you an 8 round grouping I got from 20 feet out with this fine German made air pistol. I also put the pellet shooter on the Chony Chronograph to find out its real world feet per second rating. The Umarex Walther CP88 is almost all metal and very dense at 2.25 pounds. It is extremely well made.

The Umarex Walther CP88 pellet air pistol is one of the higher quality airgun in my opinion. It is built to look like the real steel but it still keeps in mind that it's an airgun at heart and uses engineering that makes sense for an airgun - and so it functions extremely well.

  • Great review, very helpful. So glad someone actually knows how to construct a professional review, instead of having some kid tell me "It's nice and shiny, and it looks pretty cool".

  • @BAGSTARRR Your welcome ;) this one is not shiny, it's matte black but it is cool!

  • great informative clips :D! wich umarex gun would you suggest when picking between this gun, the cp 99 and the beretta 92 fs.

  • @dudedude873 I don't have the CP99 to compare to but I kind of like the look of the 92 FS.

  • @switchingtomac aah yes me to! but i also heard that the 92fs uses quite alot of CO2 and since i dont want to pay 30 euros more just for nickel i am not sure wether to buy the black 92fs (better looks) or the walther ( also nice looks and more CO2 efficient ) so it is really hard to choose :P wich one is better for accuracy?

  • @dudedude873 I think they use about the same CO2, they all use the same mechanics internally and shoot about the same fps which means they will use about the same CO2.

  • @slickslack7000 wich one do you prefer the cp99 or cp88?

  • @slickslack7000 Sounds like you have a good selection of these German made Umarex Pistols.

  • Continuing: I also have the CP99 in nickle with a laser sight on the rail and the Colt 1911 with wood handle and the CP99 Compact. All very fine Umarex guns.

  • Mine is nickle w/black grips and doesn't have all the warnings. Instead, it says INTERARMS ALEXANDRIA/VA and beneath that it says MADE IN GERMANY. On the ejection port it has an F inside a pentagon and Cal..177 next to it. It also has a serial # below the ejection port. It's the same with my nickle Beretta 92FS except the F and Cal..177 is next to MADE IN GERMANY and it also has a serial # below the ejection port. Two very fine guns. I also have the Model C225 that I put target sights on.
